Jose Antonio Padilla Reyes is a seasoned naturalist and expert birding guide with over two decades of experience across South America. Born in Lima, Peru, he began his career in ecotourism at the age of 21 in the Tambopata National Reserve, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Since then, he has led birding and wildlife photography tours throughout Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador. Fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, Jose Antonio combines deep regional knowledge with a passion for avian biodiversity. His career includes guiding in world-renowned birding hotspots such as Manu National Park, the Pantanal wetlands, and Cristalino Lodge in Brazil. He has worked with international companies such as Naturetrek Wildlife Holidays (UK), Partnership International Birding, and Birdsightings-Peru. Today, he lives in Cusco, Peru, with his family and continues to lead immersive, conservation-oriented birding and photography expeditions across the Neotropics.
