Nuestra reciente expedici\u00f3n de 16 d\u00edas de observaci\u00f3n de aves en octubre de 2025, con un grupo de turistas del Reino Unido, fue simplemente extraordinaria.
Desde la rica vida marina de la costa peruana hasta la vibrante selva amaz\u00f3nica y las majestuosas alturas andinas, este viaje captur\u00f3 la esencia de la incre\u00edble diversidad del Per\u00fa \u2014sus paisajes, fauna y cultura.<\/p>

La aventura comenz\u00f3 en Lima, explorando las islas frente a Callao, donde fuimos testigos de miles de aves marinas, incluyendo gaviotines del Inca, piqueros peruanos, ping\u00fcinos de Humboldt y juguetones lobos marinos. Desde all\u00ed, viajamos al interior de la Reserva Nacional Tambopata, hogar de nutrias gigantes de r\u00edo, hoatzines y los espectaculares comederos de arcilla de guacamayos, donde cientos de loros y guacamayos se re\u00fanen diariamente en un deslumbrante espect\u00e1culo de colores y sonidos.<\/p>

En los bosques nublados de Manu, encontramos el deslumbrante gallito de las rocas andino, tangaras, colibr\u00edes y monos lanudos \u2014una experiencia inolvidable en uno de los lugares m\u00e1s biodiversos del planeta. Nuestro recorrido continu\u00f3 por el Valle Sagrado de los Incas, las maravillas arqueol\u00f3gicas de Pisac y Sacsayhuam\u00e1n, y culmin\u00f3 en la imponente ciudadela de Machu Picchu, una de las Siete Maravillas del Mundo Moderno.<\/p>

Durante todo el tour, el grupo registr\u00f3 casi 400 especies de aves, guiados por la experiencia de los naturalistas locales de BirdSightings Per\u00fa y la c\u00e1lida hospitalidad de nuestros lodges asociados. Fue un viaje lleno de descubrimiento, conexi\u00f3n y asombro \u2014una verdadera celebraci\u00f3n de los tres mundos naturales del Per\u00fa: Costa, Andes y Amazon\u00eda.<\/p>

By Jos\u00e9 Antonio Padilla Reyes Our recent 16-day birding expedition in October 2025 with a group of tourists from the UK was nothing short of extraordinary.From the rich marine life of the Peruvian coast to the vibrant Amazon rainforest and the majestic Andean highlands, this journey captured the essence of Peru\u2019s incredible diversity\u2014its landscapes, wildlife, and culture. The adventure began in Lima, exploring the islands off Callao where we witnessed thousands of seabirds including Inca Terns, Peruvian Boobies, Humboldt Penguins, and playful sea lions. From there, we traveled deep into the Tambopata National Reserve, home to Giant River Otters, Hoatzins, and the spectacular macaw clay licks, where hundreds of parrots and macaws gather daily in a breathtaking display of sound and color. In the cloud forests of Manu, we encountered the dazzling Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, tanagers, hummingbirds, and woolly monkeys\u2014an unforgettable experience in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Our journey continued through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the archaeological wonders of Pisac and Sacsayhuaman, and culminated in the awe-inspiring citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Throughout the tour, the group recorded nearly 400 species of birds, guided by the expertise of BirdSightings Peru\u2019s local naturalists and the warm hospitality of our partner lodges. It was a journey filled with discovery, connection, and wonder\u2014a true celebration of Peru\u2019s three natural worlds: Coast, Andes, and Amazon.
