Cancellations
✨ Company Cancellations
BirdSightings-Perú reserves the right to cancel a trip under the following circumstances:
- Non-payment: If the client fails to make the full payment at least 60 days before arrival. In this case, the initial deposit will not be refunded.
- External causes: Events beyond our control that prevent the trip from taking place (e.g., strikes, protests, flight cancellations, adverse weather conditions, overbooking by hotels or airlines).
➝ In such cases, BirdSightings-Perú will propose possible solutions to operate the program, but additional expenses are not covered by the company.
✨ Client Cancellations
- If you decide to cancel your trip, you must notify us in writing, stating the reason for cancellation.
- The initial deposit paid at confirmation is non-refundable under any circumstance.
Cancellation Penalties
If cancellation occurs within 60 days prior to the start of the trip, the following penalties apply:
- More than 60 days prior: Loss of the initial deposit.
- Between 60 and 31 days prior: 50% of the total trip cost.
- Between 30 and 16 days prior: 75% of the total trip cost.
- 15 days or fewer prior to arrival: 100% of the total trip cost, provided suppliers allow it.
